ANY-WEB LIMITED is responsible for the personal information described here. You can contact us about it at info@any-domains.uk or by post at 16 Broad Street, Eye, Suffolk IP23 7AF, United Kingdom.
What we collect
- When you contact us: your name, email address and what you tell us.
- When you list your business: your business name, trade, town, phone number, email address and website. We publish these on our sites, as your listing shows them, until you ask us to remove them.
- When you buy from us: your name, email address, billing address, business and VAT details if you give them, and what you bought. Your card details are collected by Stripe, our payment provider. We never see or store your full card number.
- When you buy a .uk domain name: the registrant details Nominet requires.
- When you visit our sites: our servers record your IP address, browser type, the pages you ask for and when. We use these logs to keep our sites secure and running, and we do not use them to identify you. We also count visits with Umami, an analytics tool that uses no cookies and does not store your IP address.
Why we use it
- To provide what you have ordered and to deal with your questions. This is needed for our contract with you.
- To keep accounting and tax records, which the law requires.
- To keep our sites secure and stop abuse. This is in our legitimate interests.
- To send you news about our services, only if you have agreed to it. Every email has a link to unsubscribe.
We do not sell your personal information.
Who we share it with
- Stripe, to take payments and prevent fraud.
- Nominet, when you buy a .uk domain name.
- The companies that host our sites and email, who handle it only on our instructions.
- HMRC, the police or a court, when the law requires it.
Some of these providers may process information outside the UK. Where they do, the transfer is protected by safeguards approved under UK data protection law.
How long we keep it
- Orders, invoices and payment records: 6 years, as UK tax law requires.
- Messages and enquiries: up to 2 years after we last hear from you.
- Server logs: up to 90 days.
Cookies
any-web.uk does not set cookies. ANY-Village sites and ANY-Domains use only the cookies they need to work, such as keeping you signed in or remembering a display setting. Stripe sets its own cookies on its payment pages to prevent fraud. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.
Your rights
You can ask us for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, and ask us to correct it, delete it, restrict how we use it, or send it to you or another organisation. You can also object to our using it. Email us and we will reply within one month.
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
Changes
We may update this policy. The date at the top shows when it last changed.
